About the logo
 

  • The logo generally symbolizes the role of food engineers in preserving the quality and safety of food products for human consumption.
     
  • The solid circular shape represents food, while its green color indicates growth and hope .
     
  • The arcs resembled as a human hand with five fingers symbolize protection/ preservation of foods through proper handling, storage, processing, packaging and distribution.
     
  • The red color expresses leadership, action, confidence and courage.
     
  • FEC stands for Food Engineering Club.
     
  • The numbers 20 and 10 placed at the opposite end of "Washington State University" signify the year of FEC creation.
